The Golden Gaits Equestrian Center riding program specializes in the education and support of aspiring horsemen and competitive equestrians of all ages. We welcome both new and established riders, and look forward to supporting you in the development of stronger horsemanship skills and your abilities on horseback . We are curently encouraging you to join our 2011 show team, which in previous years has proven itself as a force to be reckoned with.
Owner and trainer Kristine Schick has been teaching lessons and producing competitive riders and horses in the Bay Area for over a decade. Her competitive drive is well known locally at the Santa Cruz County Fair, the annual Almeden Farms B Rated Show and at our local Pebble Beach and also including Woodside A Rated Hunter/Jumper shows, her riders have won multiple championships at the local Fox'n Horn Hunter/Jumper schooling shows. GGEC will be competing at these Northern California Horse Shows this year 2012.
When she isn't coaching her students in the show ring or competing herself, Kristine spends her time riding and schooling her client-owned Hunters and Show Jumping horses. She prides herself on the quality of care she gives the horses. "I focus on the whole horse, tapping into their emotional, mental, and physical needs! Proper nutrition, hoof care and exercise are essential to having a happy, healthy horse."
What's in store for next year? Kristine says, "I'm really looking forward to participating with my riders and their horses and watching their progression in the show ring. I'm also excited to develop our new and up-and-coming team of horse show riders."
Golden Gaits, Introduced a horse camps last year 2011 and had some great success so we will be continuing by hosting a Spring, Summer and Winter Camp this year as well!
